You bring it, we weigh it, we pay.
No need to know what it is or how much it weighs. You unload on the yard, we sort with you, we weigh, you leave paid. Monday to Friday, no appointment needed, from the first kilo.
Before you come
Four simple things
Look at what you have
Radiators, cables, copper pipes, aluminium pans, rims, a washing machine, a bike: we take all of it. If in doubt, bring it along and we will tell you.
Separate what separates easily
Copper on one side, iron on the other, aluminium apart. No time? Bring it as it is: we sort with you, but a mixed bag is paid at the price of the cheapest metal in it.
A photo if you want a price first
Send it with a rough idea of the weight, on WhatsApp or by email. We answer during opening hours.
Bring your identity card
Belgian law requires the dealer to record the seller's identity for every purchase of metal. No card, no weighing.

Weighing and payment
Paid the same day
Your load is sorted by metal, then weighed on the weighbridge or on the scales for small loads. What Belgian law requires of the metal trade, and how we pay at Nili Métal:
The same day
You leave paid, in cash or by bank transfer depending on the amount.
One ticket per weighing
Weight per metal, rate applied, amount: you keep it, and so does your accountant.
Identity recorded
Identity card at every sale and a purchase register kept, as the law requires.
Your questions
Questions from the counter
The ones we hear at the counter and on the phone. If yours is not here, call us, it takes a minute.
Which metals do you accept?
All ferrous metals (iron, steel, cast iron) and non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminium, brass, bronze, zinc, lead, stainless steel, tin), plus electric cables and motors. If in doubt, call us.
How does the weighing work?
Your trailer or boot is unloaded, the load is sorted by metal, then weighed on the weighbridge, or on scales for small loads. You receive a ticket with the weight per metal and the price applied.
How am I paid?
The same day, in cash or by bank transfer depending on the amount.
Do I need to show ID?
Yes. Belgian regulations require the dealer to record the seller's identity for every purchase of metal. Bring your identity card; for a company, the company details.
Do you collect metal from private homes?
No. We do not come to private homes: you bring your metal to our yard in Auvelais. Containers and collections are reserved for professionals.
Is there a minimum quantity?
No. Whether you have 1 kg or 10 tonnes, we buy.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 12:00 and 12:30 to 17:00. Closed at weekends and on public holidays.
How do I know the price before coming?
Each metal's rate is updated every morning, displayed at the yard and published on prix-des-metaux.be. For a specific load, a photo with a rough idea of the weight is enough: we answer during opening hours.
How are your prices set?
They follow international metal prices, updated every morning, adjusted for the quality and cleanliness of the load and for sorting and transport costs. The price announced in the morning is the price applied that day.
Are ferrous prices per kilo or per tonne?
All our prices, ferrous included, are in euros per kilo. Iron displayed at 0.24 €/kg therefore means 240 € per tonne.
Do I have to sort my metal?
It is not compulsory, but it changes the price. A sorted load is paid metal by metal. A mixed load is paid at the rate of the cheapest metal in it.
Do you accept batteries?
Yes, car batteries and other lead-acid batteries. Lithium-ion batteries are not taken.
Do you accept cables with plastic insulation?
Yes. The price reflects the copper yield; stripped cables fetch more.
What if I do not know what type of metal it is?
Bring it along: the team identifies metals on the spot, free of charge, and explains.
Do you accept radiators?
Yes, cast iron, aluminium or steel. A cast iron radiator weighs about 15 kg.
Can I bring household appliances?
Yes: washing machines (about 30 kg of iron), fridges and dishwashers. Refrigerants must have been drained beforehand.
Is there room to park?
Yes, the yard has room for vehicles and trailers, at boulevard de l'Europe 91, Auvelais.
